PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC ACTION
Pyrantel pamoate acts on roundworms (gastrointestinal nematodes), producing paralysis of the parasite's muscles. This allows normal intestinal peristaltic movements to eliminate the parasite.

Praziquantel is administered against mature and immature stages of cestodes (tapeworms).
